I'm curious to know if anyone is having better luck with Voice Commands than I am.

I estimate that 50% of the time I get the voice commands to perform what I want it to.

One thing I find super annoying is that it will never recognize the city name "Atlanta" in the search procedure.

Maybe it doesn't like Southern accents? LOL.

Which menus/features are you having problems with? It works fine for me with phone & radio.

I don't use it much with climate control.

Don't have factory Nav, so that's not an option for me. And I don't use Sync directions or services that much, but it worked routing between known locations on Sync.

Climate and Radio work okay, but I generally don't use Voice commands for those because it just seems easier to push the buttons for those, but getting it to dial the right person in my phonebook is a total crap shoot, and searching NAV for POI's rarely can be completed using just voice commands. It too easlily misunderstands City names, business names, street names. With some names I can appreciate the difficulty, but what's so hard about "Atlanta"?

How long have you had your Explorer? There is actually a "learning curve" for the system, and gets better with time, as it learns your voice's features and cadence, for example.

My voice commands were lousy (maybe 20% of the time it worked on the first try) when I first bought the vehicle, but now that it's "learning" my voice, I find that 90-95% of my voice commands work correctly the first time.

Most people have discovered that it helps to use your normal voice and level. Don't talk loud or over enunciate.

I don't have the factory nav, so I can't comment on that, but my voice dialing is usually pretty good. I have found some names that it pronounces strangely and have adopted that to get it to find the right person.
