Wallpaper help

I have gotten a few wallpapers from a link that was posted previously and loaded them. Now, I'd like to take some personal pics and turn them into wallpapers. I know I need to rescale them but I can't figure out how. I am on a mac. Can anyone walk me through how to do this? Thank you!

I'm not familiar with the Mac but there are photo programs out there you should be able to use. The specs that you will need for your photos are in the attached thread. Good luck.
