what seals? and where is it coming in? in the back? in the back of an explorer with the seats folded down is a 6 foot beed with 3 opening doors and 3 opening windows!

Besides checking the obvious like Jim suggested, try crawling under the truck to make sure all the drain plugs are still there.

It is damp underneath the carpet in the back of mine but only because the guy that replaced the back side window didnt seal it well enough.

yeah.......it's like there's a under carpet lake....right near the back hatch door......

Is the jack compartment wet? My 94 back side window was leaking from the window not being sealed good enough whenever it was replaced and my jack compartment and my carpet would always be soaked. You would have to take the paneling off in the rear compartment to check. I went to autozone and got some window sealing stuff and I havent had a problem since.

Right in the middle above the spare tire is a big rubber plug. Check there first.

I unscrewed the plastick molding by the door and pulled the carpet back some and there was a tone of water in there..I was thinking it might be whe hatch back door seal......i'll check the plug thing next time i'm i have the ex.right now it's at my inlaws place....because they needed it to drive because they hit a deer with their blazer.....

has anyone ever put diamond plate steel in where the carpet is and just take out the carpet? I'm thinking about just doing that....

I wouldn't do that, instead I'd use Herculiner or a similar product.

could spray on bed liner, on the diamond plate :) I love steel

But the steel will probably add rattles and reduce performance (weight).

under the carpet is wood boards.. I could use them and i could get aluminum diamond plate.might even be lighter than the carpet and foam stuff back there....
