Ok so i went to go get my explorer inspected this morning and i stoped to get gas and looked underneath and water was pooring out from it and i have to clue were its coming from.So is there a "how to" on how to change a water pump? or can someone just give me a little insight on how hard it might be?

Before you assume its the water pump you need to figure out where its coming from.

If its the water pump it will leak out of the weep hole on the bottom of the pump.

Other areas I've seen leak include....
Heater hose connection at the upper intake. I've seen the pipe corrode and leak there.
Hoses themselves leaking
Heater control bypass valve (don't know if you have one on that new of an X, but Id assume they are still using them).
Freeze plugs
Radiator seam between the copper and the plastic tanks (or the plastic tanks themselves).

Thanks for the ideas. ill definately look into all those things when my buddy gets here before i make a conclusion. The only reason i have doubts its a water pump is because the water isnt just falling from below. its spraying up on the intake and everything. Anyways ill try checking all the things you said. Thanks man

that same thing happend to me 3 weeks ago. I replaced water pump, hoses, thermostat and bought 2 gals of 50/50 coolant and water wetter.

make sure to borrow a fan belt pulley remover tool from the parts store, it will make it very easy to do the job.

Good Luck

well it turns out that it was my thermostat housing. so i replaced that and but a new thermostat in but i didnt think about the two sensors on top of the housing so i got to either replace them or see if i can get the little gasckets on them cause they are still leaking.
