Weighing my options: V6 or V8

If you are dead set on keeping your current truck. I'd fix the engine issues as suggested, and ditch the automatic for a 5 speed and don't look back. The A4LD is junk from the factory anyway. Mine is factory 5 speed and love it.

I love 5speeds dearly, but sadly i have a rather large cyst on my left leg and it prohibits me from doing certain things. If i work it too much it will start hurting and pain pills dont help much anymore. This does not thrill me being only 18. A 5speed would be boat loads of fun though!!!
