Weird Lighting Issues

Ive got an 03 Explorer thats doing some weird things. The interior light stays on and the door ajar light stays on until the vehicle gets to the auto door lock speed then goes off. The auto door lock speed varies from a dead stop to 50 mph. This isnt a big deal, but i thought id just see if anyone has encountered similar issues....

EZ fix or test.

On my 94 I had to put a penny (with tape) inside the door frame to actuate the door ajar switch. I dont know if your 03 has a similar switch. Try to actuate it by hand.

Spray some lubricant in the door latch as that it where the door switch is.

To figure out which door is the problem, start the truck and open each door. If the switch is working correctly, there should be a beep sound when he door is open. If there is no sound, that's the problem door.

It will most likely be the drivers or front passenger door. But don't forget the rear hatch and glass have switches as well.
