weird popping noise when accelerating.

hey guys i just changed the wheel bearing because i thought it may of been then but it wasnt. i have a freind that had an explorer that the chain stretched in the tc and he thought it may of been that but he drove it and said it is more in the front then the middle. any help guys?

Grease the rear drivehaft slip yoke.
Check the front drive shaft--
Check tires for wear, all 4 must be of equal diameter.

both shafts are tight and tires are relatively close.

Well, I guess when you drop the drive shaft you'll drop them to check them.

You have to drop the rear shaft to grease the slip yoke, and I bet when you drop the front shaft and play with it a little you see something if you look close. I might be wrong, but we have all been through this.

If this doesn't show you something then tear the transfer case apart and see if the chain is slipping.
