Weird Windows

Hey there I got some weird probs with the windows on my X and was wondering if anyone had any input as to my probs. Only the drivers window controls work for all the windows, except the drivers one. And no the lock is not on. Any idea's as to why?

even though the switch on the driver controls may say that the windows aren't locked doesn't mean theres not something wrong w/ the switch... basically even though the controls say the window's aren't locked they may still be locked...

how would they be locked if the switch is in the unlocked position? And if so how come the drivers window does not work? But all the rest do from the drivers door?

i'm saying there could be a broken component inside, leaving it to be stuck in the locked position, even though it reads being in unlocked position

lots of posts on a "dirty lock switch"... what you "see" ain't what you get. get a meter and test, you will likely find your answer. some clean, some replace, your choice.

further, there is a good chance you actually have two problems.... the left window switch is fubarred and the lock switch has an "issue"... just a "guess" based on a closer "review" but again a meter is your friend.

Ditto, get to the backside of the main LF switches. All power and all ground goes through that one switch, for all windows. The other three windows get power from that one rear switch, it's a red/blue wire. You have a problem with that, and likely the LF window circuit is also bad. The internal parts are very delicate.

That is one large switch that runs about $55 from Tasca Ford online. Salvage yards here want $20 for a used one, get a new one.

Figured out at least a little part of it.. There was a pulled out wire on the drivers window switch. Replaced that and it works now. As for the rest I don't think I will both with. They can all go up and down as I want them too so thats enough for me. thanks guys!
