i just picked up the complete wire harness i need to install my HU. i took the harness into work and soldered all my power and illumination wires to the HU's wire harness. once i run the wires i will solder in my speaker wires. looks like i got my day planned tomorrow. After all this is done, i am going to pick up an amp install kit so i can bump my 2 15" subs. I just want to get my HU in now. i am sick of the radio and i dont own tapes. not to mention those cassete tape adapter things dont work, so i cant use my portable CD player. peace out

well i got ambitous and bored at work. so idid it all tonight. got the deck in and working great! it only took me about hour and half to run the big A$$ harness to the front and pull off that side panel in the back to get to the stock amp. now all wires are hidden and it looks good. now this means tomorrow i will have time to get my amp wired up...yay!

right on planes!!! Nothing better than doing it yourself... glad to here things went as planned....I'm about to attempt a hidden sub, two amp install and feel like i'm bitting off more than i can chew...but what the heck, if things go bad I should be able to find help here

Peace

rock out man, nice job. I am getting ready to do my install, when i get a free weekend to take my time. Hope it works out for you, peace

oh it worked out all right. This morning i got my amp installed. i placed it under the rear passenger side seat. i ran the power cable down the drivers side then i ran the 2 RCA cables down the passenger side. sounds good and i am happy to have a cd player again! next is to upgrade the door speakers, then i will be happy. the sound from the stock premium speakers is marginal at best. i am thinking some clarions or pioneers will do it some justice.

Sounds like you're doing a great job installing the stuff by yourself. That's great!!! As for the speakers, I love my Pioneers so much. Never had a problem with them and I've had them almost 2 years.
