Hey guys, i went offroading this weekend with a local Offroad Club, www.truoffroad.com Most of them are jeeps, but they arent your typical jeepers, all of these guys are SUPER nice, and really Friendly.

Vehicles out there-

Quite a few jeeps
Stock Ranger
Land Cruiser
Chevy P/U (edited- it said check p/u, where i got that from i dont know??)
Ford Explorer(me)

Most of these were either running 33"s or 35"s cept me and the ranger, i feel i did pretty good...

Now onto the Whoops stuff

Kinda tried to go through a hole i shoulda never tried with 31" A/ts

Yep you got it right, a Jeep pulled me out:D But its a nice built jeep with a 360, and hes my neighbors son....

Now onto the Other whoops, Went through a water hole and screwed the fan/radiator up, we figgured water got to the flex fan and jsut made it go crazy....

The guys helped me reomve the radiator on the spot and we fixed it with some Quik Steel, got me all the way from there off the trail, to my house, no leaks yet, cept liek one drop..... One dude has a hole in his radiator that he fixed with his stuff that hes been runnign for 2yrs:eek:

Heres a nice picture, but this is what attacked my truck, as you look at it, the second water hole out, i went through the shallowest part and it still was prolly a good 3 or 4 feet deep. We were going out there to drive along the edge of this river...... Sholda known somethign when the holes swallowed the jeeps on 35"s:rolleyes: It happened on the way back in, not the way out, even though i went through the same hole...

And heres some pics i got of one of the jeeps flexing...

Looks like fun!

I have found that most 4x4ers are nice and friendly, doesnt matter what they drive. Especially if they are associated with a club, usually shows a professiona attitude and dedication to the sport.

Your typical "Jeeper" is the same as your typical "explorer'er" hahahaha a few bad apples ruin the rep for everyone else...just happens there are more Jeeps out there than any other sort of Rig...

We met some real jerkoffs on the trail a couple weeks back, throwing beer cans all over, no regard for anything really..guess what, they were driving Jeeps :)
Its not the Jeep that made them jerks it was the attitude!

But you knew that already!!!

Yea you got that Right, i know quite a few jeep drivers that are Just arseholes, but they are part of no club, But all of these gys jumped right in and helped me and helped each other....

now 410, this TTB really disappointed me this weekend:D

It got hung up when i was stuck in that hole, also when i tried to drive on this log, my tires slipped off, and the log fell underneith the TTB, and i drug this dang log for quite a few feet, till i finally got it off:D

Oh well im sure larger tires and Lift woulda helped, but i have other problems to worry bout now........

TTB = snow plow of front ends.
Ground clearance is the TTB's biggest downfall...

You definatley have to "adjust" the line you choose to clear the Diff sometimes.

You can modify the TTB beams for much more ground clearance by moving the lower ball joint out, this allows you to run the beam at a steeper angle Less drop on the pivot, more spring height)

Alot of the off road guys with TTB's do this. Your other option is agood anlged skid plate and some larger tires :)

Way to go, kid :D Glad you found cool people to 'wheel with: It's not so much the wheeling as the wisecracks and friends that make it so worthwhile sometimes....

Btw, THIS is mud :D

Well there was that out there to, trust me:D

I jsut couldnt get pics becuase i was driving and i took my bro along hoping he would take pics but than he was sick the whole trip:(

Some of the other members have pics hopefully il lget and post some up............

Im hoping to go offroading with my friends bro, eventually his truck will have 38" tires, 6" lift (dont know how hes gonna fit the tires) and 3" straight pipes out the back! :D

and me.. well ill still have the cherry bomb turbo and stock height and stock tires.

That is wierd about the radiator. Why would water do that to make the fan go into the radiator? The fan would be pushing air, water in your case, towards the engine, so would that pull back the fan?

Grasshopper the water did not move the fan, the water pushed the radiator into the fan.

Is that what you think?? i still havent figured it out, you think there was enouigh pressure to push that radiator?? Its a flex fan, so i jsut figured water got on it and flexed the fan so much it hit the radiator.......
