What are some of the mods you are working on?

JoshC: I think I got it off of the Rockrangers.com web site. 410 sent me in the right direction if I remember right. Try a search, it doesn't sound very hard and hopefully I can run air tools (when I can afford to buy them).

Josh, yup I drive her everyday. She was down for 1 month for the 4.0L conversion about 3 years ago.
She was down for almost a week for the lift and axles
She has been down 3 times for two days for clutch work
and She was down fot 3 days when I converted her to an automatic. She was also in the Ford shop for 4 days once when I had a computer problem I couldnt diagnose.
Other then that I drive her every single day for the last 6 years, the frame and body have over 230K on them, but other then that she is a mean bit*h and aside from a 90K miles 93 4.0L pretty much all brand new and rebuilt, totally custom.

Here is a good place to hear about my complete write up on my baby/pictures:

Here is where you can learn about converting your A/C to on board air (it;s cheaper and better, only downside is engine must be running to re-fill the tank):

Updated write up and pics coming here when I become Elite, after I finish my current projects....

Josh i just got the skid plate that was made for me today and tonight i fit it and got the holes drilled so i could paint it. right now it is drying and i will put a second coat on it tomorrow and bolt it on the car thuresday or wed night if it is dry. as for the skid plate to cover the exaust, still working on that. that'll be this weekend i think sence i'll have nothing to do and all i need is some strong sheet metal for a suppier around here. just going to use it for easy cleaning and to keep the mud off that.

im working on a convertible ;)

I'm working on getting my beast ready for some tougher trails. Some rear shocks are a DEFINITE must. I will also go with a manual TC before the next run too. Maybe in a year you'll see with me with an SAS project.

1) finish installing cb and antenna once the antenna stuff comes in the mail
2) custom exhaust once the mufflers come in the mail
3) build a box for my subs
4) get all sub stuff hooked up once i get the amp in the mail
5) offroad lights for bumper
6) sway bar quick disconnects
7) roof rack w/ snowboard racks (got to get ready for the season :D )
8) fill all the little holes i have all over the body (running board clips, emblem holes... etc.)
9) 100k tune up/ maintence
10) 200 amp alternator
11) tint windows to match as well as possible

Over the winter i'll do:
3"BL
rear leaf over axle conversion
swap in 4"lift coils and seats from a 79 bronco
install 4.10 gears (as soon as I find some, anyone?)
onboard air sounds very intriging, hmmmmm
33" or 34" tires
cutout flares
custom bumpers for my winch
be satisfied, maybe....

1) Full size spare (somewhere)
2) Get more performance (somehow)
3) I still haven't put my plastics back in from when I did my body lift. Geez I'm behind.

I should have mentioned this earlier but today i installed a relay and switch so i can have 2wd. So now no more auto 4wd bs!

Lots I haven't thought about here.

I may be new here, but not to web forums. I'm building a daily driver / fun ride right now but I'll be building it for off road in a couple years. I'll be around looking for good ideas till then. Thanx for the ideas so far.

Stuff i'm saving money for:

3" drop
new shocks
shave rear tailgate handle
possible shave antenna
paint exterior trim white to match
EE front air dam
grey/black or grey/white interior tweed work (door panels, seats, kick panels, headliner, sub Box, back hatch, possibly dash)
sway bars
4 channel amp for speakers plexi under dropped floor

I should have enough saved up by the time i'm too old to care.

lets see if the money lets me

2" drop front/rear
custom graphics down the sides
build a different set up for my system
New front bumper
find smaller tires (I think the 31x10.5 would look a little funny with the 2"drop)

Man, you all are posting faster then i can read up here! We have some good ideas coming in, do you all have any pictures or links on some of the stuff you are working on?

Happy trails!!

Yomie, made it into the shop yet?

Today at 10:00 it will be going into the shop, they said it should be done by 1:00, but you know how that goes

Jefe, where are going to mount the tray for the second battery?
I'm attempting to squeze two optimas in the space of the one stock battery. It will be tight, and I may have to bump the ABS module back a 1/2", but other than that it should be cool. :) All I've got done so far is the research, and welding up the tray. Next step is to weld on the mounting brackets for the tray, and see how everything fits. Then just wire it up.

If I have the money and the time, I'm gonna do:

1.) New shocks all around

2.) Get a new subwoofer

3.) Install trailer hitch with reverse lamps

4.) Install tow hooks (yes...I've talked about it before summer break actually started, got the hooks but they're sitting in the garage b/c I had absolutely no time to work on it.)

5.) Extra set of fog lights up front

6.) Air horns

7.) Drill my airbox

X-Spec airdam should be here today. Then a 98 fr. sway bar, new rear sway bar, and someday Bullit wheels, if my wife gets another promotion.

Here is a picture of my air compressor mounted. I've still gotta run the wires and mount the tank. I'm not going to leave the tanks in for good, i'll just put them in when i'm going on trips. I'm still working on those, so i'll have pictures of them later.

Happy trails!!

Here are my wheels painted. I am in love with them! I put them on my truck tonight and then put her back in the garage. I'm waiting on the center caps to finish drying then i'll put those on. I love the way they look on the truck. It matches everything now. I'll post pictures tomorrow of them on my truck.

Happy trails!!
