What did your system cost?

You either work for stereo shop or got all that online. No way you got that at a local shop with those prices. Nice job!

No kidding. Those are very good prices on the Alpine stuff, at least. I buy all my stuff at a local shop and install it myself. Only thing I paid for installation on was the alarm.

I won't post a shopping list for thieves, especially after my last system was jacked two months ago, but I have replaced it with about $8k worth of stuff so far. It's my most expensive hobby/sickness.

eclipse hu
2- 12in Fusion Power Plant subs
1- 600w Fusion Power Plant amp
ported box

around 2000

pi$$ing my father off every time I come in the drive way............PRICELESS!!!!!!

but seriously folks, when i was getting this stuff installed(i helped do it, but paid to have it done) one of the guys had an 18 volt dewalt drill sitting on the box. He told me to turn it on to make sure everything was workin, so i did, and scared the sh*& out of him. The drill jumped up off the box when it hit, and the hatch was open, it's louder with it closed. The guys that installed it were amazed at how loud it was, and i was like a kid in a candy store. question, if i turn the box so the subs and port are facing the roof, will it be louder??

You have to experiment on what sounds best on a vehicle by vehicle basis.

yeah, i had two audibahn(still have em) alum 12Q's and a 1300w amp in my 91 camaro. took them out and put them in the ex and it sounded like crap. I think it was the box i put them in, and i got tired of killing alternators with the amp.

so stop putting stock alts back in lol

you wouldnt put a 4 cylinder in a dumptruck would you?

hey, it might work....lol. honestly i didn't know all about higher output alternators when i first put the audiobahns in the ex, i just thought autozone alternators are crap, which they are anyway. now it's a matter of not being able to afford to buy one, i just hope the stocker that i got from the junkyard holds
up for a while until i can get a high out put or figure out if i can rebuild the one i have to do what i need.

all i had was 2 10s, 250 watt amp and a sealed box. Its bazooka a package deal from circuit city, I only paid $300, but it worked great for me.
