My neighbor has a couple newer GM trucks, and each one has a light in the engine compartment, passenger side, near the front. The light unhooks and you can stretch it along aroung 15 feet. What's the name of this? I want one of these for my X, it would be great for night time problems.

I've seen that! They've been doing that for years. My buddy had a 92 Silverado with one of those. Pretty cool but also doesn't say much about the truck reliablity if they have to throw in a shop light. :D

Ford had that as an option........................in the 60s.:)

I've been looking for a while now, most people don't even know there's such a thing. I think it's just something really cool. I'd rather have that than a flashlight!

My buddy has a '94 cherokee j**p limited. It also has this light contraption you speak of.

Just buy a cigarette-lighter spot-light, and splice it in somewhere, then custom fab some kinda engine compartment mount...
