What is this part in heater hose?

Can anyone tell me what this part is called? It's the one with the arrow pointing to it. It is made of plastic and it gave up tonight. Need to replace but I'm not sure what part to search for.

Thanks, it's called a curve adapter. As I thought it has no function other than connecting 2 rubber hoses. Now I know what to ask for.

"Correction, when installing the new part I see that the inside diameter is smaller than the hose so it does restrict hot water flow from the engine.
