What is this piece called?

The piece between the windshield and hood? I been searching for thread about removal but I don't know what its called

It is called a "cowl" or " wiper cowl"

hence the cowl induction on some older GM products! (and other random products too I'm sure, dodge and AMC had some too I think)

Why do you want to remove it?
If you need to remove it, you will have alot of spot welds to drill out. The windshield will have to be removed, and both front fenders as well.Be careful as the dash Vin is also mounted to it.

to replace it, my cowl and hood are bent. I have another Exploder same color I'm swapping parts

and does that top piece not come out without all what Ghost said? If not, I wont be doing it

well from what Ive found, Ghost is right, I will be living with it bent and no use changing the hood either..... Ford mistreats us at times

It would be nice if the cowl were removable, especially when it's time to replace the front wiper motor...
