I didn't see one on here, but alot of differing opinions. What brand, why?
We all know about the hassle in changing.
and my preference.

I use standard Bosch Platinums. See Dead Link Removed for a technical reason why the +4's don't work any better than the regular Platinums.

Factory:D

Champion Double Platinum

Because I got the best wires on the market IMO. Champion Truck Wires. I just wanted to get the same brand plugs and wires.

Hmm guess I'm the only one running Autolite Platinums.

i use bosch 4+ plugs and wires and wiper blades from bosch cuz i get them free from a kid

I use Motorcraft.

I use NGK Platinums

I added one! I hope you dont mind? You left my plugs out. :)

I picked up some autolite platniums the other day. what do you think of them????

How do new spark plugs make a difference over factory?

Hi out there. Here in South Africa resources are limited and with our currency at an all time low, we look for the best deals! I have just fitted some Autolites copper core due to the Motocrafts being some 6 x more expensive! Could anybody help with the plug gap? I have set them according to Chilton's manual at 0.054". Is this correct? There seems to be some power loss and fuel consumption has gone up, but this could be due to the Emission system playing up, and that is another story!
Thanks:rolleyes:

Motorcraft.

Ive used alot of em. The AC Delco Rapid Fires, i think last way longer and offer all the performance THAT you can get from spark plugs. As far as +4's , electricity can only flow one way at a time, so you dont get 4 sparks you get one like the rest. They may last longer due to the four design.

when i took my spark plugs out, to put new bosch platnums in, they were black. but i didnt try to gap the new ones, should i have?

YOU ALWAYS GAP YOUR PLUGS!!!!!!!!!! Most come "PREGAPPED" but you can just imagine how that will go.

I was thinking about getting Bosch +4s, should I also get new wires?

I just installed a set of Autolite platinum pros and a set of autolite wires, seems to run 100% :exp: :yelexp: :redexp:
