01 Sport Trac
hey fellow explorer owners, im glad to be part of the forum now that i have my first explorer. If you really need to know i have an 01 2wd sport trac, and if yall don't mind, i was wondering of what kind of tires would be a good look and fit for the truck, i know that i need something equal to or less than 35's. i was thinking the 32" super swamper tsl ssr's but money is tight and i was wondering if there can be any better deals or if they would even fit at that. i would love to make my sport trac different from everybody else in town. too many bone stock ones;). but please help if you can! im not doing anything serious in it, just to drive around mostly. but any appropriate suggestions are more than welcome. thanks guys (and girls)!

Welcome :)

Is your truck lifted? If not, you need to rethink your tire sizes.

Welcome to the forum.

A 32x11.50-15 will fit with a torsion twist and Warrior shackles IF you use a 15x8 wheel with 3.75" backspace.
A 33x12.50 will require a bodylift or taller rear springs and dropped front spindles (Ranger Edge 4x2 spindles will work).
A 35 will require both a suspension and bodylift.

I'd go with a set of round tires...j/k. If you'r gonna have the X on the road alot i would steer clear of the TSL's, the're really soft and won't last long. What is your primary use for this truck? I run Baja Claws on my big truck and love them...not as loud as you'd think (not touring tire quiet by far) and they have a decent tread life.

welcome! i have general grabber at2's on my st, and they are great, look similar to bfg all-terrain k/o. cost me about $500.00

i love the baja claws, great looking, aggressive looking tire, but just out of my price range.

the bfg's are the same thing as the baja claws, great tire, but just out of my price range. id like to keep the prices within 200$ a tire.

i just picked up a set of 265 75 16 Goodyear wrangler Silent armor 6ply for a set of 4 + certifectes for 739 out the door from Discount i did have a hook up though oh ya thats on stock wheels with a TT and soon to have shackles in the rear

thank you for the welcome! and no unfortunately i dont, would 32's rub against the fender wells without the lift?
Probably. Some people run a 265/75-16, which is about a 32" tire, without a torsion twist but it is narrower than a 32x11.50-15.
