I have a 3" Suspension and a 3" Body lift, which does not allow me to run the 33x12.50 tires that i want. So i am not sure what to do next to give me the added room. My body lift i did myslef (time consuming, but no problem), and when i bought my Explorer The 3" Suspesion was on it. So i guess i am debatng, just tossing on some spacers and add-a-leafs and hope i have room or if i should Go with a 6' suspension upgrade? ANyone have any ideas on where to go from here? OH and has anyone done there own suspension lift?

welcome to the site bfgorilla 33's should clear fine with 6inches of overall lift fenderguy has 35's with only 4inches and some people have 33's with only a 3 inch body lift .oh yeah and alot of us have done are own susp. lift

I highly recommend the 6in. lift. I've got the susp. lift and a 3 inch body lift and I've got 36x12.50 Swamps on my rig now. Slight rubbing before the cut-outs but nothing big. Go to "Before and After" and find a thread called "maybe some pics still working on the bugs" and check it out. Welcome to the site!!

too top heavy for any serios wheelin but looks cool

Don't forget though.....Fenderguy has fiberglass though with his 35's. With just the 4' lift he couldn't make them fit.

Not completely true!! Some top heavy but only if your not knowing what your doing. I put my 35x13.50 Baja Claws on in serious wheelin trips. All other trips I use my 36's.

Do u have cut-out fenderflares studdedx?
FenderGuy had 33's before he puy on the body-kit.

No cut-out flares, yet. I just deal with cops around here giving me a bad time about it. Just did some cutting on the rear of the front fender. I'm still trying to figure something that will work for the rear then I'm going to do some custom flares.

I was asking because i think no one makes them, and i really want some. You could just buy some of them flat fender flare stuff that you just cut to fit. It looks crappy, but it will do until you find somethin else.

Yeah, but I like the way it looks. It looks like a bulldog just lookin for a fight. Extremely cool1!!!!

I like the look too, i was just say because of the cops. By the way your explorer looks really good. Have you change the gears aight?

Yep!!! 4.56's front and rear with ARB's front and rear also. Just recently installed though. Wasted the money on the front end though. It blew up on me about a week ago so now its in the shop awaiting my new dana 44. Project is now on the go.

That sucks. Do you think it was the shops fault for it breaking? But good luck on the Dana 44 swap

Nope it was completely my fault for showin up a J***!! Oh well I was cooler then him. Even his girlfriend was laughing at him.

Thanks for the info guys, "33's on just a 3" BODY LIFT???!!!" However the shop i have gone to to fit the tires, when fitted the tire would not clear my fenders in the turn radius. PLaces here in Northern Ohio charge an arm and a leg for body work, and as much of my own mechanic work i do, Body work is not on that list. If i go with just the coil spacers and add-a-leafs, am i going to have to install longer shocks? Or what 6" suspesion lift kit comes complete, whereas i am not going to have to endlessly purchase extra parts? one more thing anyone know where i can find online the instructions for suspension install? Thank again for all the help.
