Just switched from Amsoil regular synthetic to Amsoil Signature Series 0w30; 15k-20k interval, analyzed by Blackstone Labs.

Amsoil EaO filter

195,000 miles on the rig. It does require topping off occasionally.

The Lincoln is running the same oil/filter/analysis and have yet to change at 15k interval. It has 80,000 miles on the DOHC 4V 4.6L V8.

Motorcraft Oil, and Motorcraft Filter. And no i don't get a discount. . ..
I find 5w-20w in 5 qt jugs at my local autoparts store. Just get the motorcraft filter, seems solid, and it has the pop-off valve. . .

Usually Mobil 1 oil and a Motorcraft filter in the X. It has regular Valvoline and a Motorcraft filter right now with the new engine though. Didn't want to put in the expensive oil until I knew the engine was good. It'll get an oil change this week with the good stuff.

Thinking about trying Amsoil instead for the hell of it, hmmm.

i use mobil 1 extended performance 5w-30 which is full synthetic with a fram extended guard oil filter. the filter is good for 7000 miles. so i change my oil every 7k miles. when i first got my ex i tried using the Q 4x4 and suv but my truck must not of liked it bc it kept making my lifters clatter and the motor would knock. as soon as i stared putting in mobil 1 is stopped. it is more expensive but since i want to keep my truck in top running condition i think it's worth it.

in my g/f's s-10 i use mobil clean 5000 with a fram tough guard oil filter.

i'm also planning on running mobil 1 in my 66 falcon that i just got.

btw before anyone says anything about the s-10 i'm trying to convince her to trade it in and she's getting pretty settled on the escape.

EDIT: i have 118k on my ex.

ouch, good pick on the oil, bad choice for the filter-the motorcraft filter is less than a fram..........i am mobil 1 full synthetic every 5k with either motorcraft or mobil 1 filter

Nope, the motorcraft filters are pretty good. Comparable to Wix or the like.

Fram filters, however, suck.

no i was trying to say that the motorcraft is good quality, but it is actually less expensive than a fram one.... you can even buy them at walmart

Right now, using the Motorcraft Synthetic Blend oil. It's the best of both worlds, and it's Motorcraft, so might as well. Lately also, using the Motorcraft filter. Did use NAPA Gold filters for a while too when I was using standard oil, but since I have to go to Walmart to get the MC oil I get the filter there, too. Plus one time they didn't have the Gold and I got something really cheap that bent up like a soda can when I went to remove it.

Mobil 1 and a motorcraft filter since I got the truck with 59K. Have had zero engine issues now at 156K.

Doesn't leak a drop either. Use to leak a little until the rear main was replaced. Was never enough to drip on the ground or show on the dipstick though.

Edit: Oh, I change it at 6K or so.

i use valvoline synpower 10W30 with a napa proselect oil filter from work every 6k miles or 6 months. about 241k miles and still going strong

Castrol GTX 10W-30 for me, with a pint of 'SLOB' added and a SuperTech filter.

Vehicle has 119K miles on it now, and dosen't use any oil between (5K) changes.

Amsoil Signature Series 5W-30 15k interval with Wix filter. Currently at 150k, the engine is quiet and runs like new.

I initially used Mobile 1 fully syn until the engine had 30k then switched over to Amsoil
