Hey I have a 1992 Eddie Ex and I really want to get performance upgrades for my engine, it is a 4.0 V6 OHC(i think) Please just make a list of what I should get and price please.

First off, you will have the 4.0L OHV engine in your Ex.
To give it a little more power you can start with a KKM tru-rev air intake ($75). The nice thing about those is it comes with the necessary adapter plate. Next you should invest in a cat-back exhaust either 2.25" or 2.5". Prices vary depending on which one you go with. Don't bother waisting your money on a free-flowing catalytic converter unless yours is plugged up. The stock Ford ones are very free flowing, I had mine tested this year and there was less than 1lb difference between entering and exiting flow. After the exhaust is installed, invest in a 70mm MAS and 66mm throttle body. You might as well do these at the same time. Right now Explorer Express is offering us board members a $20 discount on the MAS. Regularly it sells for $239.99 and the throttle body is $249.95. They also mentioned they were willing to give a deal on the prices if you purchase both. Once all that is complete, the last thing to invest in is a computer chip.

I'd say for quick, inexpensive power, get a K&N air filter (direct replacment for you normal, paper air filter) and a performance computer chip. One other quick fix for an older truck, put some BG K44 in a tank of gas. That stuff works miracles on older engines.

Bash's suggestions are great, but if you want a few extra horses for about $100-$200, these can get the job done. (Funny how a $30 air filter can do as much to bump performance as some internal engine mods that cost hundreds of dollars.)

I considered getting a KKM or the K&N cone filter conversion, but backed off when I heard enough folks here on the board saying that the power gain wasn't worth it. It makes sense to me, because the open cone filters in the engine bay get more air, but the air is heated by the engine, which is about enough to cancel out the gain from increased air flow. Please don't take my word for it, since I don't have personal experience with this conversion. But do search the site get some other opinions.

Gears, find out what gears you have.

Also most bang for the buck when it comes to making power fromthe OHV is a camshaft and pushrods.

All the intake and exhaust mods listed above will help a great deal too, but to really benefit and make a big increase you should consider an aftermarket camshaft (410 or 422 grind)

Also if your truck has 3.27 or 3.55 gears in the diff's then thats the best place to start, 4.10 gears + 30" tires = hold on to your horses.........
