well, ive had the setup 3in with 32x11.5s for awhile now and it barely rubs at all exept on full lock on some turns, so today when i was removing the rear swaybar i decided to see what it was rubbing on exactly...the front swaybar, now im not going to take it off, this is my dd, i havent tested w/o rear and i now taking the front off isnt a good idea i will make quick disconns for it. Do i just need more lift or is there anyway possible to stop the rub, i dont mind it would just be nice to have 0 rub at all.

just maybe a small spacer would be an idea for you. Or you could try a coil spacer and shackle lift to see where you are then.

Forget the spacers, let it rub. I'm on 31's and I rub at full lock. Have for 30k+ miles and haven't had any issues...

Yea, spacers are a :nono: Your weel will fall off if you use them

using spacers wont make my wheel fall off.. i know a lot of ppl that use them and i plan to use them in the future.

If you are worried about your wheels falling off with wheel spacers use an impact wrench and a dibbledabble of locktite. I really doubt your wheel is going to fall off though.

Wheel spacers aren't inherently bad, it's just better not to use them. If you do, use high quality units with a double lug stud setup and make sure everything works together.

That being said, front swaybar rub is nothing to worry about.

Ask Docvijay.... his wheel came right off, and he had to replace his fiberglass fender.

The point is if you are going to go offroad a spacer is NOT a good idea. Period.

I have a superlift 5.5 and 33x12.5s and mine rubs the front swaybar. I have not found a good way to fix it. I agree with JDraper let it hit. Explorers have a problem with wearing the the outside of the tire because of the extreme angle of the wheel during full lock. Hitting the sway bar helps remind me not to turn the steering wheel to far.

I would not use the spacers at all considering that the weight of the X is resting on the lugs, not the hub. Adding spacers just puts more stress on the front end components. You might want to go to explorerexpress.com and order some steering limiters to limit the steering to go as far as possible without hitting the sway bar. Just a suggestion. It will not hurt to rub, but it is annoying though. And the tire does not fall off to say from spacers. What happens is that the weight bearing on the lugs starts to snap them. Meaning that most aftermarket rims for explorers are manufactured with the center hub bore larger than the hub itself. So what happens is the bolt pattern is matched to your specs but the hub bore is bigger which puts the vehicle weight on the lugs supporting the weight. Putting a spacer on the disk will only put more stress on the lugs which will or will not start to snap lugs.
