Sealed I think is best for all around functionality... Why isn't this in Audio? :p

I didnt think you could post a poll in audio...Can you?

Sealed all the way!
Ported is good at its resonant frequency, but sounds bad at other freq's. The curve just drops off way to fast unless all your music is well under the curve.
Plus sealed just sounds so clean and the response is the best.

Plus sealed is the least likely to blow a sub

Sealed enclosures. I have tried them all and subs designed for and installed in sealed enclosures are what I like best. :)

Sealed...tighter, more accurate.

Sealed. Nice tight response, plus they are usually smaller boxes for larger subs.

Well hopefully tomorrow i will be getting my BD1000 back from rockford. My original box for my eclipse was a sealed enclosure and my friend gave me a ported box for free im going to see how that same speaker sounds in the differnt box.

Sealed. I am about to buy one after Christmas as I recently bought a Bazooka 12" EL1204. This is the only audio mod I am making to my 99 X Limited, along with the amp, of course.

Is Free-Air really an enclosure? Trunk, I guess.....
Maybe you should have added Isobaric enclosures, to be fair.
I love sealed even thought it is the least efficient, because it the flattest response curve and can play down to 20Hz.

I never really understood bandpass enclosures: "Lemme get this right, you're using WOOD for a crossover"?
If you think ported enclosures sound bad out of their tuned frequency range, listen to the mud that comes out of a bandpass enclosure.....but man, they hit hard!!

To each his own...

erm I like my sealed bandpass
