What year motor do I have???

I have a 2001 x built in 12/00. I notice when I purchased a FIPK from K&N that the diameter of the tube seemed to large. I called them and them confirmed that the 2001 had a 3.5" dia intake and the 2000 had a 3" intake. The reason Im bringing this up is that could I have one of the motors with the 00M12 TSB for intake gasket and cam chain tensioner problems. The dealer saays no. How can I find out by motor #?.

The queation isnt what year motor you have its what kind of motor you have I think. Do you have the SOHC or the OHV. But I may be wrong, there might be different size intake tubes for different years.

I have a 4.0 v6 SOHC
