For $400. you can get as good, if not better, lighting from a set of fogs & a set of driving lights. Plus you would have the added benefit of useing the fogs all the time. I think its(Hellas) a good idea but I have yet to see the same performance from a dual light system that you get having two dedicated (fog, driving) light sets.

how the hell does it work? the light knows when your turning?

Mercury Sables and Cadillacs have this feature for years! Although they have 2 independant lights to achieve it. Cheaper than $400 too.

I believe it has a yaw rate sensor under the hood. Some of the German models have this, but it is made specifically for the model so it looks like a regular headlight.

NECROPOST!!

Sorry, I was looking for driving lights when I ran across these: http://www.tirerack.com/accessories-hella-dynaview_system.shtml

Apparently, the price has halved. Has anyone taken the leap? Not really commenting on the technology so much as I think it would be a way to make your Ex stand out a little more than the rest....

OK Shawn. It's up to you to purchase, install & report on these Hella lights. You have your orders. If you accept them you will be denied any accountability/refundability, ect. by this web site. You are on your own.

Heh! Good thing I have my explorerforum company credit card.....

Lights that turn while you're turning....hmm interested idea.....it's almost like I've seen it before on another vehicle....

...oh yeah, that's right. I HAVE seen it on another vehicle.

The 1948 Tucker Torpedo!

It was WAY ahead of it's time. The Seat Belt, Padded dash, Safety Glass were all Preston Tucker's ideas...not to mention the headlamp that we are discussing here..

I have personally seen 4 or 5 of the 47 remaining cars...AWESOME cars!

i had this feature on the 2008 buick lucerne i had rented due to my ex getting hit... it also had a 4.6L northstar which was nice but thats a diff story... my moms envoy has this too but it only turns on when u turn on the blinker... i dont think it would be pendulum activated cuz if ur taking a slow turn, u dont have much momentum pulling it to activate the circuit... neat idea though and if someone buys it let everyone here kno so we can check it out... cheers :afro:
