What's needed for a 302 swap?

I am getting a 91 5 speed sport with an engine problem. I know where to get a 302 auto out of a 88? thunderbird for pretty cheap. I have never done an engine swap and i am scared i am getting in way over my head. Will the stock tranny and t- case work? What all will need to be done. is it worth the truble for a trail rig? Should I just part the x out. Would it be better to just have the stock 4.0 fixed? thanx -- Marc

i would just get yours fixed...

you can do it, but its very labor intensive.... if you dont think you can do it, dont, youll just screw yourself later..... do a search on engine swap there is actually a whole forum on conversion.... check that out
