Whats the deal with SpiralMax?

I recently saw an ad for the SpiralMax Turbo Air Twister. Its low price, around $90, made me question how well it works. It consists of metal pieces that are placed in the air intake hose which are supposed to lengthen the passageway for air towards the engine, giving better vaporization, more HP, torque etc...do you think it is a good investment? Do you know anyone who has one?

From what I have heard they're just a gimmick. You're better off drilling holes in your airbox or buying a KKM fileter.

Oh geez that was gross. Anyway, everywhere you turn somebody is trying to sell you some piece of crap somethingorother that will make your car last longer, make you skinny, pretty, virile, etc and it is all crap. Plain and simple, it is stealing. I don't know who to believe anymore. I'm going to beat someone to death with a Thighmaster.
