Wheel and tire swap

Can i put 16" wheels/tires from a 1998 2whl drive F150 on a 1998 4whl drive (auto hubs) Explorer that has 15" wheels/tires ? Thanks in advance.

I'd like to know this, too! I'm a brand-spanking new member here on behalf of my daughter. She has a '95 Explorer XLT and I just checked on her truck. She needs new tires NOW. But she's a poor student. And I'm a not-so-rich mom.

We need to research an inexpensive way to get new shoes on her truck ASAP.

No, Explorer's are 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern. Full size are 5 x 5.5 I think.
