To ensure I evenly seat the bearing I spin the rotor while slowly tightening the spindle nut to 35 ft/lbs. I then back off a 1/4 turn and then torque the spindle nut to 16 in/lbs which = 1.4 ft/lbs (16 in/lbs is so low I turn the spindle socket with my hand without using a wrench). Make note of post #12
