How do I paint my wheel wells, like black. What I mean really, is what paint do i use. I do some off-roading, but the faded gray look, makes my x look older and worn down. I want to give it a little boost. Thanks.

I wanted to do the same thing so I picked up some truck bed coating in a can for $5 at wal-mart. It worked great for about a week, then the crap started to flake off. Somebody I will Herculine them, I'm sure that'll hold up. You might want to try that.

What, about like good ole rustoleum or body panel paint. Would that work, I don't know much about paint sticking, but those two paints have worked nicely on other parts of me car. Plus the wheel wells are plasitc and metal.

go to a good parts store and get underbody coating, i know that 3M makes some good stuff, i did mine like a year ago and it is still there. you are gonna want to hit the wheel wells with a HIGH strength degreaser and a good brush before you put it on, i would reccomend purple power. There is some stronger stuff but i have to get it off the guy that sells supplies to our detail shop.

Much easier and safer as well. You don't want to goop up your tires. Also be careful not to get over spray through any of the openings leading into your engine compartment.

i have done the cheapo rattle can bedliner before, and have had it last up to a year before it needed re-coating. you really have to take your time and get ALL of the crap off. after that, you must wash it with a good paint prep wash to get the soap residue off, or like you said it wont stick.

Tell ya what paint works really well is Rust-o-leum's Hammered Finish paint. I used it on my frame, wheel wells and rear axle, and it looks great and wears well.

Yea ok, i gotcha i used the hammered finish on my axles and leaf springs, does it really work on the wheel wells? Also, could you use the other kind of paint the glossy finish. That kind is more jet black instead a gray black.
