I would of joined ya guys since i missed the volo M&G due to mechanical failure, but I have since moved to Utah. I would of really enjoyed the cliffs. getting ready to do some wheeling out here and get a rocky moutian stripe on the X.
Have fun guys

Yeah i looked back through the Volo M&G thread and noticed that. Not cool man, the midwest is lonely and its getting even lonelier.

Alright, I finally found someone willing to ride shotgun with me to get up insanely early to get over there. Jman, I'll pm you my cell sometime, gotta study for a system dynamic mid term now... :thumbdwn:

Well this blows, they are calling for rain tomorrow morning and my right hand man is ditching me.

EDIT: Nevermind it looks like it'll be sunny all day, guess he just wants to be a big baby and work on his Camaro all day.

If i wasn't so ridiculously busy tomorrow I'd call shotty jman. I hope you all have a great time. Don't forget your flags, tow straps, drinks, food, snacks, extra jeans and shoes, you cb(if you use a portable one), spare parts if you have them, and commonly used tools, duct tape, electrical tape, a hack saw and your spare tire.

if you lose a mirror and it is dangling by the wires.... disconnect the battery before you cut the wires...... otherwise you will end up with about 3 blown fuses.... or just cut the wires individually. and just because you slid between some trees in one direction, doesnt mean you will make through in the opposite direction. Those would be my two lessons i learned at the cliffs.

Hack saw for trees, or body damage?

body damage (dragging muffle, crushed fender... etc.) oh i almost forgot... a BFH

and dont cut down any trees or run them over or anything. if you get caught they will throw you out of the park and press charges and slap you with all kinds of fines.... thats what i've heard anyway.

WELL you missed some fun Aric we mostly stuck to trail 1 but we had some guy in this crazy little chevy take us up the creek and through the middle of the park. Then after we got familiar with the terrain we started messin around some more. Sadly i forgot my camera till i was about half way there. But Kert did take alot of video and pictures.

As for the not making it between trees both ways. If you can get there, you can go back the way you came. We had some close calls with trees but we both managed to be fine especially when we went down an ATV trail and didn't realize it till we hit basically a dead end.

Aric, iwhen's your sploder going to be back with 4x4?

Well, I got back here safely, nothing like a total of 9 hrs of interstate driving for 6 hrs of wheeling.... it was a goo time though. I'll probably post pics tomarrow...

Glad to hear you got back ok Kert. And thanks for the oil. Forget the pics, videos are whats important.
