I'd like some input as to where most people are getting their performance spark plug wires. If you don't mind adding how much you paid for them, that would be nice also.

I called the large autoparts stores in my area. They seem to carry only a brand of wires called Kem's. I am looking for Splitfire, Jakobs, or some other popular brand. I looked at the Magnecore website... $84.25 for the 8mm, $108 for the 8.5 special kind. Thats a little steep for me.

My truck is 10 years old. I'm sure it's one of the oldest ones around, we got it when Explorers first came out. The wires are original. I'm hoping to make it run a little smoother.

Thanks to all that reply.

I got Jacobs Electronics 8mm wires for ~$60 from their website. What I like about these wires is the boots are vulcanized onto the wires so they are sealed and can't come off. They also have very cust. support.

I've also heard good things about Magnecor wires. You'l'l be amazed what a new set of wires will do for you.

If you are interested in the Magnecor KV85's, try CyberAuto. They're $73.48 plus shipping. You won't go wrong with these. My fuel mileage has increased about 1 MPG since switching from the Jacob's.

I ordered my Jacobs from Mark Horstman @ Performance Specialists (800-888-3999). Set for my V8 ran me around $125, not sure what they would run for a 6.

heehee

I'm getting Jacobs Wires for about 30 bucks, a friend of a friend works there. ( I live about 20 miles away from jacobs electronics).

Yeah,

Thats a great deal. It's not going to help me any though. Jakobs says that its $69 if I want to buy from them. If I knew where to buy Bosch Premium or Splitfire I would look into them. They're just wires, I don't want to spend tons of money. $50 would be ideal.

Bosch Premium wires are available at AutoZone (if one is in your area) for less than $40.

Are the Bosch wires any good?
