The past few days have been moderately warm (over 80 degrees), so i've been paying attention to the temp guage a bit more. Good thing too, or bad?
I noticed that the temp needle actually moved (it usually sits between the C and the N on normal, and NEVER goes above there), and it made it's way up to O on normal. This worried me a bit, cause in the 3 months i've owned it we've had plenty of warm days, and the X has performed like a champ. So i get to where i was going (i was only 5 minutes from my destination when i noticed the needle move), pop the hood, and holy sheet, is that thing warm! Anyways, looked in the coolant resivor, and there's nothing in it! YIKES. So i let it cool and filled it to where it said. Drive back home (1hr drive), get home, the entire way, the needle didn't really deviate from where it normally sits. Let it cool again, go back out the next morning to check it, and the resivor is empty again! So i fill it back to the "cold fill" line, and go to work. Now, i haven't checked it yet today to see if it's empty again, but if it is WHERE IS IT GOING?! I don't notice any moisture out of the tailpipe, like as if the head gasket was shot. Anyone else got any ideas? HELP!
