anyone else?

I kinda like the look of the second one. The selller has a descent rating an the gaurd comes with stainless hardware... But the add only list it for the dana 44 not the explorers 8.8.

u can call him. he has a lot. i spoke to him before and he has for d30 and d35 also.
anyone else.
the 1st one looks like it can get hung on something.. but it protects the whole bottom part of the diff
the 2nd one looks cleaner and wouldnt get hung on anything but it only protects the portruded part of the diff.
decision decision.

Look at the cut of the ring on the first one, looks a little sketchy to me!

I like the second one better of these two choices.
But I wouldnt trust either of them, depending on how much abuse you plan to throw at it.
I am in the market for a 8.8 cover, Warn make a nice unit and its under $100 but they only make them a few times a year.
Poison Spider Customs also has a good 8.8 cover, I would trust the fitand strength better then that Ebay special second one....

There is a recent thread discussing all your options for the 8.8
The full covers made by like Currie etc are the toughest.

i went ahead and bought 2 from the 2nd one. d30 and d35. that is for the cherokee. 45 plus 6.25 for shipping.. cheaper than dirt. will let u guys know how it stands the abuse.

Cool let us know when you get it, I want to see some close ups of the welds and the thickness of the metal and also the FIT around the stock cover :)

Me too! :D

Yeah I think the 2nd looks a little cooler. Especially with that red. That'll look sweet under the truck.

hey swak let us know how it goes...

i do have a question however.

i can see how the guard can protect the diff, but wouldnt it go on the back on the rear diff?

wouldnt that only protect it if you were reversing?

i could, very well, be mistaken. im trying to get a grasp on how much this would help out an explorer with an IFS.

or was this just something for your jeePster??

my cheroke..i sent pic tonitew. :)
