Part stores around me must be idiots, as none said they carry the motocraft pcv valve, some have MC ones but not for my truck apparently. Only thing I can find is a Purolator PCV Valve at advanceauto, part # PV152 . Thing is they say it "should" fit not sure if its for the 5.0 for my year. Dealers don't carry it either, they want 40-50 bucks for a full kit.

I read that the PCV is built to certain flow measurements, so does the Purolator equal it? I can't find anything on here as says nothing found when searching purolator except for someone who asked the same thing in a thread and never got an answer. And why is it so much cheaper then the MC PCV, Purolators is less than 5 bucks vs almost 12 for MC. Need to know asap as ordering other stuff.

See if you can find Motorcraft part EV-140. That's the one you need. Been there, done that. I think I got mine at Rock Auto. Don't be put off by the right angle look of the valve. The piece can be removed to make it a straight through valve like the one it replaces.

Ok damn went to get some parts and realized there's no Oreilly's even remotely near us, hours and hours away. Why the heck would I get advertisements for them at my house, idiots.

Anyways, only thing I can find is that advance auto Purolator one. But I've read from others that when they used anything else except for MC they either couldn't get it to fit or broke the T line. I was going to run seafoam through and change plugs this weekend as I have to pickup some other stuff anyway. Don't want to order online and have to wait.

The Advance Auto one is PV152, and like before they said it "should" fit not it will fit.

The recommended part is the Motorcraft EV152 ( presently in my 2000 monty ) the EV140 is recommended for 1996 5.0 motors and has a stronger spring which allows more crankcase vapor flow at idle and other speeds than the 140 valve.
