If I replace the factory Speakers while replacing the factory in dash which speakers are you folks using ?? I mean the drop in 5X8 or 5X7 for the front and rear doors..Im not interested in putting in a large sub cabnet....just when I upgrade my indash I was curious if the door speakers needed replacing as well....or are those speakers pretty good ??

PS I have the Bose Premium in my 94 Limited

Thanks

well while this thread is still new, do any of you guys know where i can get the harness for the doors because im thinking of getting some new speakers as well, and surey do not want to splice any wires. 92-XLT-4X4. 4DR

Good Post

I also want the foam baffels for mine to keep out moisture and improve the bass. I also ordered a set of door panel removal tools off Ebay so I can take the doors apart without messing up the spring things and the door panels. Doer Soreche or however you spell it have the door adapters ?? if so Wal Mart in my area has a lot of their stuff for a very good price.

Since you're already takin off the door panel, I suggest getting some dynomat padding. Probably the best that you're going to get as far as exterior noise cancelation, and improved interior noise. May be a bt pricey, but I doubt that you will be dissapointed.

Edit: Incase you still care, I have Rockford Fosgate components up front, with RF 3-way in the back

i replaced my factory stereo (bad display, of course) with a new Jensen DIN head unit (no amp) and scosche dash kit. fits like a charm, but the front DOOR PANEL factory speakers now sound like they have a blanket tossed over them. VERY little high end, even with the treble maxed out. this head unit is not a real expensive one, so i dont expect the world from it, but if i buy better speakers, would it make a difference? i'm thinking coax or triax with crossovers and stuff will help to bring out the highs better. what size are these door panel speakers?
