sideswipe, Let's just say that i ain't done yet!!!! time is money and i don't have alot of either. I'm getting the wheels with in the next 2 mounths, cutting the coils and blocking the rear. i'm also trying to make Altezza's, I've got alote of work ahaed of me and i move in to my new place this wendsday. I've talked to guy whos going to rebuild my engine, the total horsepower package, as i've dubbed it. And while it's in the shop i'll be ordering my Dry Nos kit. in the great words of philip morris "Smoke 'em"

i'M FROM....

I'm from NJ, at the other side of NYC, but not that far NY....

long Island.... is basically considered part of the CITY, the tail of Long Island is actually manhattan.....

but anyways.... I'm trying to think of how could I get these local people here to join...... becoz anywhere I go I always see xplorers they're everywhere...

so I'm thinking of making a flyer that asks them if thy are interested to join and give them a link to the site going to here

Sorry I havent been around but I was on vacation for a week and I like what I am seeing. I will definitly run the NY chapter for now but would like to split it up into upstate and Long Island when it gets bigger and as far as decals go I think as long as its on your Explorer somewhere then that is fine. I can get some rules and stuff from my friends who are in Maxima clubs as well.

About the website. What do you guys know about owning a domain name? We should have an www.EastCoastXplorers.com website name. How do you go about buying a name and how much does it cost? (I don't think it's very expensive)

Please send me a list of your "RULES" before adding us. We have already structured our club and our only member rule is, You either have to own an explorer, or be invited by one of our members. Thanks..
BTW..Keep it simple guys. You make it to rule bound and structured, you will scare people away..The biggest reason we started our club is because other clubs in our area have to many guidelines to meet. The Explorer is a very versatile vehicle, it needs a very versatile club..

aiight..... bout the domain name...... I bought mine at yahoo.com for $35.00 for two years...... but..... if u will make it a e-commece site that would be like paying aol..... like $20.00/month...
lets just shop around for a good price.... I heard from my girlfriend that u can buy a domain nmae for 10 years for only $200.00 and that's cheap.... so wat do u think bout it guys....

I don't know man, maybe we need to slow down a little. We dont even have a real club put together-no rules, not enough members, no organization. Lets get the club stable and then think about things like a domain name.

its just that in every organization there must be rules in order to keep it together... just hang-on guys....

The rules aren't complicated I don't think. *

One rule I suggest is that to become a member, the chapter leader for the area you're located in should okay it. * Also, when we finally get the decals made I say you need to prove you put it on (email a picture) to officially be declared a member.

The domain name was just a suggestion. I say if we get 30+ members we could all send $1 and buy the name for a year. No big deal. Just thinking ahead.

Yob, I agree with you on everything except the growth of the club. I think we already have about 10-20 here, even though not all are on the web page, and if we make a new thread which says something like,

"New Club (East Coast Explorers) looking for members!!!"

we might have a lot of replies.

but i think we should wait for that much advertisement until we get a solid group from here and make the decals and get those basic rules down.

Sounds kind of cool.

My beef with the rules...
rule #5 back the truck up on that one Where would this membership fee go? I don't think anyone should get paid for anything. Buying the decal ought to be enough of a fee to join, since you have to buy one to be allowed in. If other costs arise, then they can be paid for then, but only the cost of whatever. No earning money off of anything.
