I am leaving work in Oceanside at 0630 hours and driving straight out to Los Coyotes (hopefully, I will get off work on time, like I never do). I figure it will take me as long to drive home as to drive to Coyotes, so might as well just go straight out, set up and take a nap out there.
I think it will take a bit longer to get to los coyotes then it does to your house by about 45min to an hour longer
Are the camp sites marked off, or can you just camp anywhere in the camping area?
Pretty much camp where ever the areas arent very marked off but general camping sites are kind of naturally setup. The best area i think is if at the water tank you go right then kind stay right where ever it forkes and just kind of take this road till it ends. It dead end into a nice round area that everyone can pull into and has a bunch o shade from the oak trees.
Do I need to try and hold any spaces, and if so how many??
I doubt you need to hold spaces only times ive seen problems getting camping areas is on busy holiday weekends.
Questions need to be answered. I sure when I get there I will find out this was not necessary, but since I have never been, I would like to get some information. If someone can give me the phone number to Coyotes, I can call myself.
Dont know the number for out there. im sure it is on this site somewhere though.
So far, it only looks like maybe 4 people are staying overnight, right?
If i make it it will just be on saturday probably for the day.
