who's the fastest

Wow you guys have gone pretty fast in your trucks. I've only done 90 but that was before I got an alignment and I only stopped at 90 'cause the truck was shaking so bad. A couple days ago I meant to try it again to see if the alignment fixed the shaking. I could only go to 80 'cause of the damn cars in front of me. Maybe I'll try it again today.

My ran out of balls at 105. She stayed there for abour 5 miles.HEHE

120, above 100 it takes FOREVER to climb.

LOL, well put man.

Fastest I've pushed my X was about 95 mph, and then I was only running about 3200 rpms on the highway for some reason...

110 where the gov kicks in.. maybe it was 115 i dont rember it was over the summer.. once i get my chip i will see ;)

You need to run it with the OD off. Thats how I got an extra 3mph....wow!!

i have gone well over 120 in my 96 (and not on the dyno, lol) i also averaged over 100 for 120 miles once when i was living down in phoenix

I have hit that speed on the road too, just don't want to mess arround with trying to take a picture while doing 120+.

80 max for me. don;t want to runin my M/t

Got my 1993 with the 3.73 up to about 105. Speedo only goes up to 85 but i was racing a buddy in a dodge dakota who was following me and his said 105.

Fastest for me is 100 Mph, truck was very smooth surprisingly. Thought about it after, won't do it again, SUVs aren't designed for stability at higher speeds, if you ever lost it at that speed......

black magic ! your oil preesure is kinda low to run at 5ooo rpms !

Haha, did you read the post at the beginning? ;) It's a dummy guage. As long as there is sufficient oil pressure, the needle will sit on its buttin the middle and not move. It's stupid, yes, but so are people who think an engine's oil pressure is constant :)

I've gotten my 95 XLT 4door OHV/auto up to 110, my brother-in-law got it up to 115 on his way to Texas Tech (he owned it before me) I got mine to 110 on the way back to Stephenville from Austin at 1 am. stayed that fast for about 10 minutes since NO ONE was on the road and it was arrow straight.

At from 65-70mph mine felt a little loose. But after that she firmed up. I went threw a few twisties with it at that speed ..No problem.
As for loosing it...I lost it in My Gen III SHO at about 120 MPH....Not a smart thing to do! Thank God I came out of it OK. My buddy in another car could'nt belive it. ...But when you have the "NEED FOR SPEED" Nothing matters. It's my only vice. Most of my old fiends are into drugs...I'm into speed(MPH), nice cars & trucks.

I've taken mine up to 105. 95 xlt with 31's. The hood looked like it was about to come flying off, and the truck was bouncing all over the place.

93 xlt 3.73 118 on gps/ 91 xlt 3.55's right around 105

I've had mine up to about 180km per hour, with 31's on, so that's closer to 195 I think - felt OK, not great, but OK on the straights.

ive gotten my 94 4.0 well above the 115 mark.... its quite funny my speedo goes to 85 however my needle will go to my overdrive shift mark and the x still keeps going.....

I think I hit about 115 or 120 in my 92 X. It took forever to get it there too. It got to 100 pretty quick but after that it took forever. But it's really easy to hit 120 in my 91 Buick Park Avenue 3.8 liter and it's like you're riding on air it's so smooth. I'd hit 120 in that thing about twice a week for two months. Didn't use a drop of oil and it has 171,000 miles on her(if you can pick one of these up as a daily driver I highly recommend it I only gave $1000 for mine, it's a grandma car but it keeps me out of trouble with the cops). I'd do it when I was going to check to see when the guy was going to finish painting my 99 X. Which is finally painted and looking pretty good even though I have to put it all back together. I'll post before and after pics when it's done.
