will a 351 fit

I have a 94 V6 ohv engine and have found a 351 that runs good and is a reasonable price. My question is this: will that thing fit in my explorer. I really dont want to buy it, take my old one out and find that the 351 is to big. I have asked some people I know and they are not sure. Any help would be great. thanks mitch

A ... 351 Windsor? A Windsor will fit but good luck trying to get in.

You can use the search feature as this has been discussed before...

anything can be made to fit into any vehicle. Just depends how much time and $ you have to spend. The 351 is a bit larger than the 302. The 302 swap is more common. It is not easy by any menas into a 1st gen but 2nd gens did come with a 5.0 in some of them so it is definately do-able. You will also have other things to consider than just the engine. Do you have a trans that goes with this engine?

That being said.....this is the only one i know of but i am sure there a few more out there somewhere...but it isn't gonna be easy

Yes I do have the trans that goes with the engine, it is an automatic what kind i am not sure. And yes i do have a budget and not a very big one at that. With the info that you guys gave me I considering saving up a bit longer before I head into a project this big and blow all the money I have ( im a college student). Thanks for the help fella's
