When I first got my sport, I put a K&N filter in place of the stock airbox, and got the codes, i belive it was the rich in banks 1 & 2, but I could be wrong. I am on the verge of getting a MAC intake, will it throw a code when I install it? If so, what has to be done to make it so it doesnt throw a code?

It should not as long as you reset the computer after you install it.

Anytime you change the amount of air that flows, clean or replace a sensor, you need to reset the computer so it can re-learn the new parameters.

I'm trying to remember if I did unplug the battery or not when I put that K&N on there. I know that I cleared the code with the scanner, but that probably doesnt matter because it would not re-learn the new parameters,it would still be running of the old ones.

Oh, and a MAC intake is probably the best for the OHV right?

MAC intake is a great setup from what I have seen.
But 'best" is relative.
Cold air induction is not too complicated, but it can be screwed up and actually do more harm then good (Like when the element is fed nothing but hot under hood air)

Cold air should be routed to the filter and a guard of sorts should be made to shield the filter from the exhaust manifolds, elements (like mud from your tire), and turbulance from the engine driven fan.

and the cold air routing is some run dryer hose and what not from behind the fog lights...

one thing i have noticed is that the bottom half of the stock airbox seems like its in there pretty good. are there some bolts that hold it in place that i didnt see when i tried to get it out the first time?

look around it for bolts.
If no it may be slipped in there with plastic parts.

Just remember Ford installed it you can get it out without breaking anything.
