When driving at highway speed, there is loud humming from the passenger side windshield. If I turn on the windshield wipers with the washer fluid, the noise goes away, so I'm assuming that it has something to do with the wiper. It is really annoying. Anyone else have this issue? Any solutions ?

I quite sure that the cause of the noise is the cowl. There have been a few posts lately on that issue. Try taping it down and see if that fixes it. The cowl is the that part that runs along the bottom of the windshield. I believe it is plastic. Running the wipers just changes the airflow over it.
Please add the 'trim' level (Base, XLT, etc.) to your profile so it shows in the margin. Thanks.

I was hearing more road noise from the drives side than I thought I should be It sounded like it was coming from a similar area. Within a few weeks the trim panel that has the touchpad on the driver side door completely separated from the car and was only hanging on by its wires(a fun experience while driving down the highway). It looks like the double sided tape that holds it on failed over time letting more and more air under it, causing more and more wind noise.

Now that the trim has been replaced, it is much quieter! Check your door trims.

You are not the first to experience that piece coming off.

I can definitely understand how that sound would be annoying, Leslie Cagle. If you decide to take it into the dealer, let me know, as well as your current mileage. I'll check out options on my end.

Also, welcome to the forum! :D

Just had the cowl piece replaced on my 2016 under warranty, the old piece would not stay plugged into the body clip holes. In warm weather the plastic cowl would flap and make a lot of noise. Seems okay now

Bought a 2016 Exp Sport a few months back and have noticed a weird noise coming from the dash area. It's like the dash has a hole in it and the wind is coming through vibrating the dash and other parts behind the dash on the drivers side. It doesn't happen all the time either. Usually only above 70+ mph or going into a head wind or it's coming at me from an angle. I don't feel any wind at my feet or elsewhere. Has anyone heard of anything like this before? Going to the dealer next week. Truck only has 20 K miles on it. Drives straight as an arrow and don't feel a vibration in the floor or steering wheel.

Not sure if the dealer will be able to reproduce it, so I hoped someone may have an idea of what this may be.

Congrats on upgrading to 16 Sport. No wind blowing noise what so ever if air conditioning is off while driving 60-70-80 mph. You should record it on your phone and show it to your dealer. Check to make sure XP has been accident free.

I double checked the front end for any wrinkles or bends and didn't see any. Everything looks normal. No paint missing or respray.

When the noise happens, the AC can be on or off. Doesn't matter. I can turn the radio up and still hear it and feel the vibrations in the dash. Like a low toned drumming.

The issue is more than likely the plastic cowl that runs under the windshield. Several member have had that issue. Try taping it down. I believe some had a bad fit in the corners.
