I want to purchase Wind Rain Visors for my X, because it looks nice and on rainy days I can smoke out the window without worrying about the rain entering the vehicle. I only have a few questions, Can they come off, can they be stolen?

And plus, is there any tips on how I should install them?
and also, where can I find one of these for cheap? The cheapest one I found was about $55.

They are installed with double sided tape. So yes they can come off. I have the in-channel style on mine. I think they look better not stuck to the metal/paint on the door. This kind would also be harder to be stolen. But most likely if some does steal them, they are also going to break them.

That's around as cheap as they get, unless you can find a set at the pick 'n pull.

they are attached with 3m adhesive and are slipped intothe window channels. They package comes with a rubbing alcohol patch and some sandpaper type material to scuff away some of the felt indie the channel. Clean it up with the alcohol then peel the plastic off the adhesive strip and slip it into the channel. Roll the window up to keep it in place for awhile and go from window to window with the same procedure.

I've never tried taking them back out once they were installed but considering they're only held in place with a thin strip of adhesive I'd say they're fairly easy to remove while inflictingg no damange on the window area

as far as being stolen I doubt they'd ever get stolen... so many vehicles have them its not really worth the effort involved. And in trying you'll mor elikely than not break them anyway

Yeah if you get the kind that go in the window, if your window is up its gunna be hard for someone to steel'em without busting them, when I had'em in my 92explorer I installed with caulking, and never came off. And they're deff. nice on rainy days, If I'd be going 45 or more and it'd be raining most of the time I could have my window down bout half way and the rain wouldn't enter unless the wind would blow it in my direction.

I have the ones that go inside the window area, with 3m tape... I've had them for over idk... since I've had the truck... no problems at all.. I like em..

I've pulled them out at the junkyard before, they can be pulled out with the window closed... But I agree- I doubt anybody would steal them.

My mistake

When I tried, it seemed miserable to take them out with the window closed so I stopped trying.

Now if only I could find a Bug Deflector in a junk yard. =P [Sadly, I've looked and asked..]

That's where I've gotten mine lol, they only charge me $10.00 for'em

For you to be safe and sure, buy the cheapest wind rain visor. Online stores offer good quality and cheap prices of car parts.

i got the AVS setup, in channel on both windows and the front bugflector..
