I wanna get my front windows tinted the same as the factory tint in the back. Does anybody know what percent tint it is for a 1999 XLT ?

Thanks :]

I cant remember off the top of my head, but Im pretty sure that 30-35% will get you pretty close to the factory tint. But remember that since your windshield isnt tinted more light is going to come in and make the front windows seem lighter then the rears.

I just had my 98 EB front 2 windows tinted to match the privacy glass in all the rear windows. It turned out to be about 23% (factory)

The rear windows are right around 20%, but thats illegal in alot of states, I just had my rear windows limoed but the front are 35% and they are plenty dark. Still illegal here in virginia, but you cant still see "the sex and race of the driver" which is apprently what the cops are looking for.

i think to match the back ones perfectly its around 15%. I have 20 and its not a perfect match bc of the windsheild but its close enough.

Yeah, that's what my tint guy told me it was for my 98 sport as well. He used to tint for some of the Ford dealerships in the area, and he did alot explorers (he said). Mine looks to match perfectly.
