My windshield wipers have been shuddering when they are used at highway speeds. This is caused by the uplift of air, which flows under the wiper arms. I had some time today, so I fixed this problem by mounting a couple wings on the wiper arms. I pulled mine from two older Hondas, at the pick-n-pull, for $1.50. Here are a few pictures; they work perfectly with no more shuddering! :navajo:

Sweet! It looks factory... what kinda speeds you do out there??

More speed = lower MPG. With the 31's I cruise at 60 - 65, but the truck will still take it to 80 if I need to pass someone. Thanks for the compliment :)

mine have never shuttered, but if they do I now know what to do !!!!!

Thanks

Using vented wiper blade holders will also work well. I had the same problem on my '01 Explorer and went with one of the "aero" blade/holders and the problem was fixed.

thats neat looking.. tho i dont have that problem.. i lowered my wiper arms and i have no troubles at all
