I have a 1997 Limited and I'm thinking about putting on Bridgestone Dueler DM-Z2's for the winter. Anything better for hard packed snow and ice than the Dueler DM-Z2? Currently my tires are 30x9.50R15. Any problems with going to 31x10.50R15 on my stock rims? Thanks.

you sure you want to go with a wider tire, i mean in the winter, dont you want a little bit more skinny tire so you dont float as much. hmm.... second off with 31s you might encounter some rubbing, i know when i tried to install 31s with no lift, the rubbed at full steer. I geuss go for it, and if they rub, get a lift(';)')

What do you suggest for tire size? I would like to keep the tire narrow but a little taller. Thanks

I'm looking to buy bigger tires but I'm mostly concerned with extra height not width but I have no idea which size I should use. I'm guessing 31x10.50R15 or P265/75R15 but I honestly don't know if these are the ones to use or if they will fit my stock rims. Please help because I have to ship the tires to my location at a cost of $250 Cdn so I can't afford to try different sizes. Thanks.

u definatly want a narrow tire. u should have 2 set ups. 1 winter set on rims at stock size and a 1 summer set of what ever size you want. makes life easier and better for the snow.

on my car i have the blizzaks and they were awesome. so i am sure the dueler is just as good.

I say get the BFG's AT/KO tires. Stock size is fine.

Just drop the air pressure in the tires while in the powder. Can't ever go wrong w/ AT/KO's

In deep powder you want skinner tires to cut through the snow. On hard packed snow you want wider tires to float over the top and not break through. If you break through hard packed snow you just high center and then you have to do alot of shoveling to get out. So if you want tires for hard packed snow go with something wider not skinner.

Just my opinion on the winter tire debate. Oh yeah, I have lived in Alaska all my live and maybe Canadian and Lower 48 snow is differnt.
