Wiring or Temp sensor? 97 5.0

Apparently, because my VIN# has the P in it, it uses part #(3F1Z12A648A).
After changing the thermostat and coolant sensor, I picked up 2 mpg in town and my air-conditioner started working again. Next is the PCV and EGR clean.

The pcv valve on the 5.0 can be a pita to access, however your hand/ arm can fit behind the intake when reaching in from the passenger side and I am usually able to get my hand on it

If it is too tight for accesss you can remove the two 19mm transmission hold down nuts and jack up the t case (or back of trans for 2wd) until the trans touches the floor, this gives you more room to work on the 5.0 pcv valve area. I like to silicon the rubber pcv grommet to the lower intake and then press the pcv in… otherwise with age the grommet dries up and allows the pcv to pop out once in a while

Good Idea. Thanks!

Good Idea. Thanks!
I found a video about changing a PCV on a 5.0L which worked well on my 1999 Mercury Mountaineer. It gives easy access to the PCV. Check this out.
