I was wondering what any of you thought would be the best way to wire front and rear speakers to an amp?

Me, I would think take the wire directly from the speaker to the output of the amp and boom...you're done but I was wondering if anyone does it different...ie..using factory installed wires to avoid using new wire? but I don't see how that is possible...

After installing my component speakers , I ran the speaker wire to the crossovers and ran new wire from the crossover to the tweeters but simply used the factory wires for the door speakers.

but did you use an amp? How would you go about using the factory wire if there is an amp involved?

I guess you could go either directly from the speaker to the amp or you could use factory wire for the speaker connection and then you could tap off the factory wire behind the radio and take that to the amp...me personally, it sounds like going from speaker to amp may be easier?? no??

In my case, I ran new wire from the amp to each crossover, then new wire to the tweeters, and then connected to the factory door speaker wire.

yeah, that sounds like the best way

sorry for all the questions ;)

Speaker wire

Kind of late posting here but, what the heck..........I ran all new 12ga wiring in my X.. Was a pain, cause had to remove alot of panels/trim/etc and run double sets of wire to each door (for mids/tweets). But the end result was well worth it.
