With the V8 engin motor cover from 02-03 fit on an 04-05?

I asked this about a year ago and didnt get one reply.

I have an 04 4.6
My dad has an 02 4.6

I love the plactic cover on his engine and want to add it to mine?
I wonder why ford discontinued this?
I wonder will it fit on the 04?

Has any one tried this? were you sucessfull?

Anyone part out an 02-03 4.6 that would want to get rid of this cover and its hardware?

This should be a real simple add on, if you can find the engine cover & all its hardware. Ford in the late 2002 model year decided to move the oil fill from the left valve cover to the right one. They had to redesign the engine cover to clear the oil fill tube. The early engine covers will not fit on your 04.

now thats good information for anyone wishing to do this.
I will look for one from an 03 to be sure I get the updated version

You could do it, anything is possible.. slight modification would be required.
