- 2000 mercury mountaineer
Hi I'm Jeff and I own a 200 Mercury Mountaineer which I love. However I have never worked on the EGR system of any ford or mercury product since 1985. This one has me a little baffled. It took me a bit to find the EGR pressure sensor on the back of the engine but what I haven't figured out yet is how to remove the second bolt. One is very exposed and the second is hidden in a crevasse and looks like I have to take a lot more apart than I planned. If this is true can anyone give me a heads up as to what it involves? Do I need to replace plenum gaskets and such?
