You ran over a closed plastic bottle and it exploded.

hopefully... but i dont think thats the case

Somebody in the sketchy neighborhood was shooting at you?! Look for bullet holes.

i have no clue what is is... hopefully when i go back to my car i have a flat so i know what it is

Sometimes with my truck when it's raining my rear tires will slip when I go over the painted stop line at stop signs when accelerating. It is a quick jerk when the tires slip on the painted line and grip as soon as they are back on pavement.

but it was in the front driver side... i know what you mean.. ive slipped on stop lines a few times too

Take a look at your sway bar end links to make sure one of them didn't break. It's a long shot with you being on a paved street as most of them break when being stressed, but it's worth a look.

You need to check 4 bolts on each front wheel area.

The 2 which hold the brake caliper brackets to the knuckle, and the 2 smaller ones holding the calipers to the brackets.

When did you have the most recent brake service performed?

dont remember... probably when i bought it in june

I vote for sway bar. When mine broke it sounded like someone bashed the frame with a sledge hammer under the drivers side.

if it is broken, is it a cheap repair? and can i do it myself?

worn out CV joint?

If it is the swaybar end links then yes it is a cheap and easy fix.

ok and newb question: how do i tell theyre broken?

Pretty easy. Look under the front of your truck and you will see a bar that runs from one side to the other. The links are just two long bolts with one on each side of the truck. If one is broken it should be obvious.

This link should help you. Look at the second picutre and that is what a sway bar link looks like.

is it still safe to drive with it broken? its my only car i have right now that isnt currently apart =p

Yeah you should be fine to drive if its only your sway bar links that are broken. I drove around for who knows how long till i discovered i had a broken sway bar link. Some guys also drive without a sway bar becuase they mainly offroad.
